Shuddhidananda is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order,
which he joined in 1993. Initiated by Revered Swami
Ranganathanandaji, he took the monastic vows in 2003.
He is presently the
Head of Advaita Ashrama, Mayavati, one of the premier
publication centres of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission.
During the 21 years of his life at Advaita Ashrama, the
Swami has been involved in the publication of several
important works dealing with Vedanta, including The
Message of Vivekachudamani, The Message of
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, and Western Admirers of Sri
Ramakrishna and His Disciples.
He
is also a regular speaker at different forums, including
the IIT Kharagpur, where he has been holding classes for
the last 8 years. His special area of interest is the
philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga, Sri Ramakrishna and
Swami Vivekananda.
