NEW! Audiofile, In Silence by Rabindra & Indira Danks

Listen to In Silence

In Silence was recorded live at the Vedanta Temple, Hollywood, California in the mid-1970s. Pictured are, left to right, Indira Danks, Marybeth Melton (Krishna Sadhika), and Raul (Rabindra) Danks at a session for Rabindra's album all i see is You. The song was performed as either a musical introduction or closing to a lecture by Swami Prabhavananda, who ends this sound clip with a chant. Krishna Sadhika and Sumishta Brahm were reconstructing the song from notes and memory, and Sumishta found this recording, which demonstrates Rabindra and Indira's thrilling edgy harmonies (oxymoron). NEWISH! So Thou Art My Lord

This is Swami Sarvapriyananda's first talk at the San Diego Center as Assistant Head of Center December 18, 2015. The talk is introduced by a song from Kabir, translated by Rabindranath Tagore, melody by Krishna Sadhika (Marybeth Melton). The musicians are Ananda (vocal & guitar) and Vani Wuhrmann (flute).  Swami weaves comments on the song into his talk after the song's completion. In fact, he acknowledges that he had planned another topic but that the song had changed his trajectory. It's classified as "NEWISH" because this clip is and has been included in Swami Sarvapriyananda's VedantaVideo page: https://www.vedantavideo.com/SwSarvap.htm
